  1. I was just listening to that song and I think some of the chords you’re using are actually different in the song.

    In the verses, I hear an Am, C, G, “F”, E, then Am, C, G, “Dm”, E. Where I put the “F”, you play a Dm. And for the second portion of the verses, I have heard two different chords being played simultaneously. Where I have the “Dm”, I hear the piano playing a Dm but I hear the guitar playing an F arpeggio.

    For the chorus and instrumental, you and I have the same thing.

    For the bridge, I hear D/F#, D/A, G, “B”, B/A, Em, D then C, G, “Asus”, A. I’ve added all the bass notes for the first part of the bridge. Where I have the “B”, I notice you play a Bm. Where I have the “Asus”, I notice you are playing Dsus.

    Try playing it again with some of the things I’ve mentioned and let me know how it comes out for you.

  2. Awesome!…this website is the 1st one I’ve checked for light on song…great…about the 1st comment..yeah i noticed “F” and “Dm” will fit it well …so what’s the original??
    Love David Cook…no one will able to duplicate that awesome voice of his…this is the only song I can’t manage to sing well…i couldn’t sing “words could never make me stay” without breaking my voice!…haha..truly gifted voice he has!
